Aaron Daniels is a lifelong student of the game. At just two years old he began skating and has loved and played hockey ever since. Growing up, Aaron drew inspiration and enthusiasm from his father who played a pivotal role in shaping his hockey experience, serving as both a father and a coach. As a youth, Aaron excelled as a defenseman for various club and town hockey programs, including the Junior Whalers and Junior Terriers. As a high school student athlete, Aaron was a standout for Oliver Ames High School where he was selected as a starting defenseman for the varsity team as a freshman and continued in this pivotal role through senior year. At the end of his senior season, Aaron was named to the Brockton Enterprise All-Scholastic Hockey Team. He was also honored with the Heart and Soul Award from his team and received a scholarship to further his post secondary studies. Aaron continued his pursuit of high level athletics while competing in the Hub City Pro. League where he played alongside a host of NHL, AHL, and Division I college players and prospects. In the fall of 2003, Aaron continued his education enrolling at UMass Amherst. There, he co-founded the UMass Amherst Men’s Club Ice Hockey Team. It was during this time he transitioned to the center position thus becoming an experienced two-way player. His dedication, work-ethic, aptitude for the sport, and leadership skills were rewarded when he was selected as assistant captain of the team. At UMass, Aaron earned the reputation as being the hardest working athlete in the rink, and, since his graduation in 2008, the team has given The Ace Award (after his hockey nickname) to that year's hardest worker. In 2006, Aaron took to coaching and held a position for two years as an assistant coach for the UMass Amherst Women's Varsity Ice Hockey Team. After graduating from UMass with a degree in Health and Wellness, Aaron started a career as a holistic wellness coach. During this time, he learned to blend traditional fitness with the practices of yoga, tai chi, and other martial arts in order to guide his students to achieve a new peak of mental and physical fitness. In addition to a degree in Health and Wellness, Aaron has a robust education. He has earned a Masters Degree in Education from Lesley University, and during an additional two years of study at Bartlett School of Science and Mathematics at Bridgewater State University Aaron maintained the school’s highest GPA. In 2016 he changed careers and currently works as a middle school Science teacher. As a teacher and coach, Aaron has the patience and ability to connect with young players which makes for a more immediate and impactful level of growth. His teaching and coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of developing a passion for the process of learning, working with student-athletes to develop healthy habits, and puts value in goal setting and team mindfulness. In 2020, Aaron returned to coaching hockey as Assistant Coach for the Plymouth North High School Varsity Hockey Team. He spent two seasons with them before joining the Seahawks in 2022. Aaron is currently the Assistant Coach for the 2017 Seahawks Club Hockey Team and joined the TP3 coaching team in 2024.
